Anna Jelen is the only person we know whom a patriarch leaves differently than he arrived — not richer, not better informed, not better advised, but more punctual with himself. The list of unanswered concerns, the quarterly figures, the calendar with its fourteen overdue letters: all of it is still there after a walk with Anna in the snow, but it looks at him differently. Whoever has stood with her once on an Arosa hillside hears his own calendar, for the first time, from a polite distance.
Anna is, as she puts it herself, a „Schwe-Schwe“ — half Swiss, half Swedish — and grew up in Arosa. At seventeen, she had a near-death experience that did not show her the famous tunnel of light, but, in her own words, the small things: the golden moments a person otherwise overlooks almost automatically across a lifetime. Everything Anna is today grew out of that. Since her first workshop at twenty-four she has led several hundred events, travelled twenty-three cities on the Let’s talk about time world tour, taken the TEDx stage in Sofia in March 2019 with a talk titled 3 ways to create golden moments — and, after many years away, settled her home berth back in the Grisons mountains.
Today Anna works with people who have stopped letting time chase them — and with companies that have realised the ability of their leadership to handle time is the one competitive advantage no rival can copy. Her recent client roster includes Mercedes-Benz (She’s Mercedes), Roche Diagnostics, Bucherer, PricewaterhouseCoopers, GlaxoSmithKline, the Zürcher Kantonalbank, Cisco, Philips Lighting and the alumni of ETH Zurich. She speaks annually at the Swiss Leadership Forum, hosts a podcast called Zeitgeflüster mit Anna, and writes a newsletter (Monday Blues Rebel) that lands in a handful of thousand inboxes every Monday morning. Her SpeakerHub fee bracket sits in the upper half of the international circuit. A single session in her three-pack costs CHF 690. For most patriarchs, three is enough.
Why we name her here
We do not name Anna as a coach or as a management consultant. We name her because a well-ordered family-office day for a patriarch consists of tax structuring, succession, a banking call, a board meeting, and a long list of unanswered concerns — and because one hour with Anna re-orders everything that day still has to do. Not because she would know the right order, but because she gives the patriarch the silence in which he finds it himself. That is, in our experience, the only kind of advice a person past forty really still needs.
Marcel put it in his own words on Anna’s site once: „Whatever burdens you during the day — nothing a session with Anna in Arosa or by call cannot solve. Effectively priceless, very much to be recommended.“ We let it stand here because it is more honest than any marketing line we could write you.
How one reaches her
Anna lives in Arosa again. She does not work for us and is in no mandate relationship with us. Whoever wants to find her on their own writes directly to booking@anna-jelen.com or goes through the BelArosa Chalet, in whose fireside room she regularly gives her 90-minute and 180-minute sessions with the time expert. When time is shorter than geography, we are happy to introduce. As with Carmelo Pistorio in Singapore, Anna is not a person with an ordinary slot in your Outlook: a day with her starts on a walk in the snow or the summer rain, moves on to a fireside, and ends with an answer that, again, will not be found in any spreadsheet.
